F.A .CUP SHAKE -UP?

Anyone got any views on the proposal by the PREMIER League putting an offer to the F.A. regarding the future of replays in the F.A.Cup rounds ,at the moment replays kick-in from the 5th round ,under their proposals REPLAYS would vanish completely , ie a tie must be finished on that day. ASLO another one is that the F.A.Cup Final to be played on the penultimate Saturday of the season with the remaining fixture's being played on the following Sunday. This idea will be a body blow for the lower clubs ,who sometimes rely on drawing a "Big Club" then hope for a replay at the Bigger club( This will cease ! Currently the rights to screen the FA CUP goes to BBC & ITV . BUT Their plan is to offer to screen the games to a world-wide audience , And to give some of the cash so that the FA could distribute some of it to the lower clubs or grass root clubs , ( my arse).

you do know man utd were the instigators of the home team not sharing gate receipts with other teams that took money away from lower clubs!! yet you say NOTHING about that GB! why?

The FA cup is a outmoded cup in the eyes of the big clubs and a major head ache to some of them. In the next few years the TV companies will stop showing it has there will be no revenue from it

I have a confession to make and that is ""I did not know that one of the main instigators for not sharing the gate receipts was Man .Utd ,Fact. I doubt you will believe me but it's the truth and i do agree with Peterp that money will again rule and i foresee a time when we won't see the F.A.Cup ON tv . G..B
